It started in 2010, with a question: Cambridge has one; Somerville has one. Why don't we? And from that seemingly simple question, the JP Music Festival began.
It is a free event and open to the public.
The premise: a music festival with one simple caveat: at least one member of the band must live and/or work in JP.
The result: An annual event that has grown in size and attendance, but holds true to its roots: To give JP musicians the chance to get together on one stage for an afternoon of music.
What better way to spend the last days of summer with music, friends, and neighbors.
The JP Music Festival was established by a group of friends with the common goal to bring live music to the community.
The Committee established a Board of Directors in December of 2010 and is a registered 501(c)3
